BEAR CREEK HOUSE RULES DURING HOCKEY GAMES AND PRACTICES

The Bear Creek rink is designed as a party and family oriented skate rink, it is not designed as a hockey arena.  In order to ensure a safe environment for you and your child at our rink during hockey games and practices the owners of the Bear Creek Roller Rink and Cy-Fair Hockey have created a list of safety rules to help prevent injury to you and your child.  Please take time to explain these rules to your child, and to any other child you bring to the rink.  We do not want any child injured at our rink, especially one that is not playing in a hockey game.  The rink Managers and Cy-Fair Hockey Board Members have the right to remove any child or parent that is out of compliance with the rules listed below.  We want to place the safety of our children first.

1. Only registered Cy-Fair Hockey players are allowed to wear skates in the rink.

2. Hockey players must take their skates off within 15 minutes after their game.

3. There is absolutely no playing of hockey or hockey like activities off the rink surface.  Hitting bottles, bottle tops, tape, or any other object with your hockey stick is not allowed.

4. There is to be no running, playing of tag, chasing, or pushing.

5. No child is ever allowed behind the counter where skates are rented.

6. No child is ever allowed on top of the counter where skates are rented.

7. No child is ever allowed to sit on the walls of the rink.

8. All players must be in full protective gear to skate.  If they are not they will not be allowed to skate on the rink.

9. No child is ever allowed on the rink surface without a helmet.  Skating on the rink surface before or after a game without a helmet is not permitted.

10. No one is to chew gum in the rink.

11. There is to be no cursing or inappropriate language used by skaters or parents on or off the rink.

12. Please do not allow your child to play with, or hang on the drop netting at the front of the rink.

13. Children not on the rink surface must be supervised at all times.  Never just drop a child off at the rink that is not going to a practice or a game.  Once again, please supervise your children off the rink at all times, especially at the video games.
